A Little About Me
Soul Garden Acupuncture is a small operation of one (Me), which I love because it gives me the freedom to be fully with each patient and involved in every process from booking, to treatment, and follow up care.
I’m a Frederick City native. I attended Frederick High School, and received my Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Studies (Philosophy, Psychology, and Religion) from Salisbury University in 2002.
After a 9 year career as a buyer for a busy interior design firm my life took a very different direction in 2011. It was then that my experience with the medicine of Acupuncture and Reiki began. I attended MUIH and received my Masters of Science in Acupuncture after three and a half years of full time, year round study and clinicals. It was an intense program filled with science, philosophy, and many hands-on lessons in healing.
I am perpetually in awe of this medicine and the transformations I have seen in my patients. The root of each one of my services is to heal, to empower, and to create balance.
My passion is to facilitate my patients natural healing abilities to create balance and harmony in all aspects of life. My practice is called Soul Garden Acupuncture because it encapsulates my view of healing. A gardener pulls obstructing weeds, tends the soil, and creates an optimal environment for growth. As a practitioner, this is the role I play in the healing relationship with my patients. Together, we move obstructions from the physical, mental and emotional bodies creating the optimal environment for your wellness. I use acupuncture, gua sha, cupping, tui na, reiki, Chinese nutritional guidelines, and medical theory education to facilitate the optimal health and well being of each patient. My approach to healing uses science and spirituality to get to the root of your symptoms in order to heal more deeply, completely, and naturally.
